Professionally designed and staffed, the ECI Lab provides a hands-on learning environment like no other. Whether you’re offering an introductory course on energy auditing or an advanced study on worst case CAZ testing, the ECI lab is equipped with the tools necessary to ensure a quality course on nearly any building science topic.
Located just 60 miles north of Los Angeles, the ECI lab features:
Classroom for Seminars and Lectures:
· Comfortable seating for 16, elevated stage area for instructor(s), kitchen area, private bathroom
· 52” LCD for presentations; 25” LCD for thermal imaging camera, manometer and wireless data
· Dell PC with color printer, document camera, wireless internet access and latest PC programs
· Exterior wall with (4) different types of siding and various types of insulation; numerous testing capabilities
· Monitors for temp, RH, dew point, GPP and moisture content that can be used throughout lab and walls
· Furnace and combustion appliance displays that allow for detailed inspections and analysis
· Lighting display with real time use and cost analysis equipment, various fixture and lamp types

· Blower Door testing of multi-area building shell and attic area under positive or negative pressure
· Duct Leakage testing and inspection of building HVAC distribution system
· Room to room pressure diagnostics and analysis
· Worst case CAZ setup that includes multiple appliances for consideration

Daily use fee includes a well prepared continental breakfast and hot lunch (bbq when weather permitting), soft drinks and afternoon snacks. Additionally, an ECI representative will be available onsite to assist with any special requirements that may be needed. Our goal is to ensure you have a worry and care free event.
The Energy Conservation Institute Lab in Ventura is simply a great location to hold a training event or seminar. We are within 60 miles of three airports, have lodging options under $100 per night, and being a coastal community we offer a host of activities and dining options. You can enjoy carne asada tacos on the beach from a famous "hole in the wall", or enjoy a nice italian dinner and drinks at one of our quaint downtown restraunts. And although we can sometimes have a marine layer that lasts a good part of the day (we are right on the coastline), most afternoons are sunny and beautiful with average temperatures around 70 degrees.
